Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with myself and James from @gunnerblog.
On this week’s show we look back on the dismal 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa at the Emirates on Sunday. There’s a lot to unpack as we discuss a very poor collective performance along with some very poor individual ones. How much is Mikel Arteta’s system at fault, when it comes to analysing players who are under-performing? Our creative problems come into sharp focus again as missed chances prove costly, and we talk about how this game needs to spark some kind of rethink from the manager. We make suggestions about how we could attempt to fix it, wonder if the absence of fans has played a part in sticking with this approach for so long, and lots more besides.
Remember, you can send us questions via which we’ll try and get to each week. Send them to either @arseblog or @Gunnerblog (or both) using the hashtag #arsecastextra. Best to send them Monday morning so they get noticed more easily.
You can subscribe to the Arsecast Extra on iTunes by clicking here. Or if you want to subscribe directly to the feed URL you can do so too (this is a much better way to do it as you don’t experience the delays from iTunes).
Also, if you’re a fan of the show, please leave us a rating/review on iTunes, it’d be greatly appreciated.
